Dowling Park Place is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath newly renovated mobile home. All walls & the ceiling have new paint; all floors are new; there is new base and chair rail trim; and, all of the windows have new plantation blinds. Check-in is available 24 hours as our front door is secured with a key-pad combo dead bolt lock. Guests are given a personal code on the day of check-in and it is erased upon checkout. There is high-speed wireless Internet throughout the home and a work area with a color printer/copier/scanner/fax and office basics such as tape, stapler, calculator etc. The home has central heat and air conditioning. The home is fully furnished for 9 with sleeping in bedrooms for 7, plus a Queen Futon-bed in the Living Room. Two sets of all linen are provided as well 2 sets of bath and hand towels and wash clothes. The home dining table seats 8 and there is a bar with a stool in the same area. Coffee, teas and hot chocolates are provided as well as basic kitchen utensils and spices. All cooking may be done on the propane grill provided in the back deck of the fire pit provided out back. The living space is equipped with a 5000btu AC unit a so powered by the generator, an interesting selection of books and board games and one of a kind personal touches. Sleeping arrangements include a queen size bedroom with a private door and adjacent deck, and also a loft that sleeps a double bed. A bath house and all running water is about a 100’ walk from the cabin, and provides all the luxuries of a hotel bathroom while being 100% solar powered and off the grid. Periodically, bath house may be shared with our family or other guests. The property provides walking trails, neighboring cows, exceptional star gazing, a break from electro magnetic frequencies, a large variety of wildlife and all the sounds of our farm. Our location is central (within 50 miles) of at least 50 natural springs, the closest being within 1 mile of us. We are also within 30 miles of coastal Steinhatchee and in the opposite direction we’re about 40 miles from historic Maddison and all the eccentric thrift stores it had to offer. Lakeview Hideaway is a quaint and comfortable place, perfect for a small family or two couples. The gorgeous views from the kitchen bay windows are of our neighbor's lake, surrounded by huge live oaks. You will frequently see nature at it's best; deer, fox, turkeys, herons, egrets, and more. The view is also fantastic from the secluded outdoor area which is set up with plenty of chairs and table. For those of us who live to recycle, this home is a dream come true. This 1985 manufactured home was a wreck, totally unlivable! We have remodeled it several times over the last 14 years. it has become a very nice home that we are so proud of. The outside still looks old and one day that will be addressed. Until then, the inside is terrific! You will have complete access to this home and the 1/3 acre around it. You will NOT have access to the lake. We are on-site several times throughout the week and would love to stop in and say hi if you are available. If not, feel free to call and chat. The vast majority of those who live here are friendly and welcoming. Ha ha. Bring a car! Our neighbor's are retired law enforcement officers. They have a gun range nearby and at times you may hear the beautiful sounds of them exercising their Second Amendment rights! Also, please remember we are in Florida! There are many critters outside who want to be inside your home. Some will find a way, especially if you leave the door open.

Only 15 minutes to Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Inn The Woods is a completely renovated mobile home with AC in each room and central Heat, WiFi (15+ Mbps), 2 TVs, & up to 15 HD TV Channels including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, CW, PBS and more. Both TVs have our Netflix account loaded and stream Internet content thru Roku; or you may connect your own HDMI device. A Florida AgriTourism site on 200+ acres of upland hardwood forest and pine plantation, there are over 5 miles of roads and maintained trails. Here you can find deer, turkey, gopher tortoise, owls and more. Our home is set about 150' off a paved road. It is an AgriTourism site as defined by the State of Florida as Inn the Woods is located on an active pine tree plantation. Our Guests wander over 5 miles of maintained roads and trails through this working 200+ acre forest of planted pines with sections of upland hardwoods. Our neighborhood is quiet and is not on a commercial street or main highway. The street begins 2 miles away in a residential subdivision in town and ends about a mile past our home with no through traffic other than our neighbors. The land is our old family tobacco farm that is now a pine tree plantation. There is a state managed public lake less than a mile away that has fishing piers, a boat ramp, and plenty of parking space. Suwannee Lake was temporarily closed for a couple of years for renovations but has now reopened. Don't expect to water ski here, at 63 acres its more a fishing pond with quite a few cypress tress. Guests are invited to hike the roads and trails. Just stay on the cleared paths and look ahead of you for venomous snakes! Use bug spray as mosquitoes can be around any time of the day or night. No motorized vehicles allowed in the woods. Our neighborhood is quiet and is not on a commercial street or main highway. A Greyhound bus terminal is about 22 miles away in Lake City. Closest commercial airports are, Valdosta, Ga, 50 mi.; Gainesville, Fl., 68 mi.; Jacksonville, Fl., 90 mi.; Tallahassee, Fl., 95 mi.; Orlando, 185 mi.; and Tampa 200 mi. Amtrak service to the US mid-Atlantic and Northeastern states as well as Central and South Florida is available from Jacksonville, 83 miles away. Many people enjoy riding bicycles on our rural highways and there are dozens of miles of paved rails to trails paths within a half-hour.
